Eat with us at Laneway 2017! We love quality food just as much as our music, and this year we’re taking it up a notch with another epic range of culinary delights and refreshing beverages. Here’s a small glimpse of what we’ve got lined up...
FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD
Established in 2009 as Australia’s first food truck, Beatbox kitchen has lead the revolution of Street food. Beatbox has built its reputation on high quality ingredients and commitment to its customers. Grass-fed beef, whole Portobello shroom burgers, fries and specialty sauces make up their simple but delicious offering. These are seriously fresh burgers.
BELLE’S HOT CHICKEN
Belle's Hot Chicken founder Morgan McGlone has two passions: natural wine and Nashville Hot Chicken. Having spent time as a young chef in France and Nashville, where both are beloved staples, he returned home to Australia in 2014 with a burning desire to bring hot chicken to the masses. McGlone set up shop in Fitzroy, Melbourne where Belle’s Hot Chicken is now a sizzling hot spot. At Laneway 2017 you’ll be treated to good food, wine and hip-hop played on vinyl.
BURN CITY SMOKERS
In the southern states of America, BBQ has a fanatical following, and it serves as Burn City Smokers largest influence. The food aims to encapsulate what Melbourne embodies in aspects of produce, people and food culture - also inspiring the name. Burn City Smokers stems from a passion for ingredients, respect for quality and a dedication to ethical practices.
As the name might suggest, Chillbro takes it’s inspiration from delicious Mexican style ice-creams, more commonly known as Paletas. Focused on using real, authentic ingredients and keeping tradition with the Mexican-style moulds, ChillBro Paletas are the the classic ice-cream with a modern twist!
EAT THE CHICKEN
Inspired predominantly by both their heritage and their mother’s cooking, the boys from Bangkok will be bringing the Thai hustle and bustle to Laneway! Favouring chicken as their most popular ingredient, you’ll find traditional Thai favourites and exciting exotic dishes on the menu. This summer they’ll be creating their most-loved Pad Thai, alongside the ETC specialty- Crispy Chicken Ribs and Corn Fritters!
Now rated as one of Melbourne’s most popular eat spots, Juanita Peaches is the first permanent diner of well known Australian food truck pioneer, Raph Rashid. This brainchild is the combination of his three loves: Australian, Mexican and American foods, and now he is bringing it to Laneway. You can expect to see their signature Fried Chicken Sandwich being served up all day and night long.
THE ROYALE BROTHERS
The team at Royale Brothers have worked hard to earn their enviable status, consistently placing them within Melbourne’s Top 10 burgers. This year, they kicked new goals, taking out the win and earning the title of having Australia’s best burger of 2016. You’ll be able to test what all the hype is about at Laneway this year.
Phở Nom is a quick service restaurant with a slow food philosophy. Made exactly how they like to eat it, Vietnamese-Australian siblings Jerry Mai and David Mai specialise in recreating comfort eats you’d find on the wandering the sidewalks of Vietnam. Focused on Authentic food, the Mai’s also pride themselves on premium ethically raised local produce, being MSG free and always using sustainable practices. It's street food - but it's not junk food.
Soon to swing open their doors on the North Side in Collingwood, much loved local Melbourne restaurant, Fonda Mexican, is also excited pop-up at St Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2017. Offering our famous market fresh rockling fish tacos and real fruit Agua Frescas amongst a selection of other delicious house-made classics, festival goers can tuck into their favourite Mexican snacks whilst listening to their favourite artists live in both the Grimes Reserve and VIP areas.
Rawbeet is Melbourne’s newest Raw Vegan Plant Based Food Movement providing a fresh innovative, sustainable alternative for food on the go from their eye-catching food truck.Headed by Mother and Son team with a passion to provide the community with food that makes you thrive on the inside. All goodies are made from un-processed and whole foods sourced locally, seasonally and organic where possible.

The Kaiser's Sausages
The Kaiser's Sausages offer Austrian inspired grilled sausages using unique recipes, served with fresh condiments and salads on our famous combos. Milk The Cow
Milk the Cow has a thing for fromage - in a big way. Our late night venues stock over 180 varieties of artisan cheese from all over the world, and our expert cheesemongers have curated a selection of their favourites especially for Laneway, packed with the taste of summer including gooey triple cream brie, fresh chevre and a merlot-washed Bella Vitano, all accompanied by our house made lavosh and quince in your very own signature cheese box.
Rice & Dice
At Rice and Dice, we are strong believers of locally sourced, fresh street food. Rice and Dice is primarily catering for the vegetarian/vegan market as well as those with food intolerances to gluten and dairy. Ranging from fresh Asian dishes to please even the most simple palette through to those who like their food with a little more bang, Rice and Dice aims to please everyone.
Franklins attracts a market of youth and excitement to each experience. It is an exciting brand which focuses on providing quality American street food based on products which are sourced from local purveyors with only the best ingredients; inclusive of meat, vegetables and in-house condiments.
New Zealand Natural
New Zealand Natural has been selling Ice Cream to Australian for over three years. So at Laneway 2017 we are bringing the flavours that we know everyone enjoys during summer. We have launched our new carts for the event and will be serving our summer favourites such as Hokey Pokey, Vanilla Classic, Chocolate Ecstasy, Cookies & Cream and Strawberry Surprise. Nothing Says summer and like music festivals and ice cream so we are super happy to be serving our summer favourites at Laneway 2017. Golden Era Golden Ale - Picture this. BrewDog brewery in Scotland, freezing cold and Jack and Red are arriving for one oftheir 12hr+ night shifts. They get a message from home. Friends having beers at the beach. Italmost breaks them. ‘What music do you want Redman?’ asks Jack. ‘Better make it The Hoods, Skip’ replies Red. 5 years later we’re launching in Adelaide: The Hilltop Hoods’ home town.
