Adelaide, Melbourne & Fremantle festival info
The 2015 edition of the Laneway Festival is in full swing and OH MY GOD IT IS SO MUCH FUN. We’ve been flattered by great reviews and feedback and can’t wait to continue the tour this weekend. Spot yo-self in the highlights video here.
With Singapore, Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne all completely sold out, Adelaide and Fremantle residents should grab their tickets immediately.
‘Laneway Festival 2015: Everyone’s a winner’ [4.5 stars] - Sydney Morning Herald
'Laneway you did so, so good this year.’ - The Music
‘This year it felt like they’d well and truly nailed it. From the queues in, to the excellent food selection, to the plentiful buses home, everything ran like clockwork. There was little in the way of congestion, the stages all sounded great… and all this with a sold-out audience. It made for a great mood around the site that carried well into the night.’ - FasterLouder
Our website has a comprehensive list of common-sense do’s and don'ts; do the right thing and check it out here. It looks like it’s going to be peak summer so wear sunscreen, drink water and don’t overdo it for guaranteed good times.
LANEWAY FESTIVAL MELBOURNE

Festival? More like Feast-ival. The culinary capital of Australia delivers the goods with RB's Fried Chicken, All Day Donuts, Beatbox Kitchen, Taco Truck, an exclusive preview of Top Paddock’s Hot Cakes, Gelato Messina (check out their custom Laneway flavours here) and so many more. Check out the food map for all the tasty deets.
Nails a bit shabby? The gang at Trophy Wife Nail Art will sort you out. Bend & Snap are curating the markets, we got a vinyl pop-up store (come check out the signing sesssions) with art aplenty courtesy of Modern Polaxis, Adnate, FCAC and Snuffpuppeets.

LANEWAY FESTIVAL FREMANTLE
Sunday 8 February - Esplanade Reserve and West End
WA's new Laneway home, Fremantle's historic West End and Esplanade Reserve, was a hit last year. Not only is there more room, but adjacent to the new venue are the scenic surrounds of the Fishing Boat Harbour and Bathers Beach.
The food scene has exploded in WA and we are bringing the absolute crème de la crème of food vendors to Fremantle including Vietnamese street food from Baguette Me Not, a twist on classic Indian by Guru Bites and classic grilled cheese from Grilled to the Mac. If you’re in the mood for a sit down meal, pay a visit to one of our pop up restaurants. Clancy’s Fish Pub will be dishing out Fremantle’s finest seafood, while one of our usuals Nimrod Kazoom is taking their food stall to the next level – a pop up restaurant with a rustic feel and North African menu with a bit of tapas.
Between acts, pay a visit to a range of market stalls including Mills Records, Scarlet Fashion, Yeah Vintage, and Son of Jack Beard Products. Uncle Joes will be providing mens styling and shaving/beard trimming and Head Studio will be setting up a teepee with hair chalk, temporary sprays, hair tapestry, wraps, braiding and a good ol' shampoo and blow dry.
Watch your favourite artists underneath the giant Norfolk Pines of the Reserve and catch a ride on the resident ferris wheel on your way into the festival to take in the stunning views over both the city and the harbour. Be sure to check out some deals for Laneway ticket holders around town including free public transport to and from Fremantle here. There's also plenty of free bike parking out the front for cyclists!
We are so happy to announce rising electronic artist Lower Spectrum as the winner of our Path to Laneway competition. It was no easy task sifting through the supreme local W.A. talent so check him out when he opens the Mistletone stage in Fremantle this Sunday.
LANEWAY FESTIVAL ADELAIDE
Friday 6 February - Harts Mill, Port Adelaide
There’s been a complete redevelopment of our home at the Hart’s Mill Site in Port Adelaide. Grassed areas and the opening of the massive Flour Shed bring fresh vibes to the Port, while a spacious new site layout ensures more room to breathe.
Food options have also expanded in 2015, with a bounty from the likes of Phat Buddha Rolls, Burger Theory, Grace The Establishment, Jack Ruby, Red Lime Shack, Chimichurri Grill and many more on offer. There’ll be plenty of vintage swag to get your hands on from Estivle Lane, Littlest Vintage, Red House Vintage and Supasundays.
The Waterside Worker’s Hall – curated by Format Collective in 2014 – will transform into a glammed-up industrial streetscape, designed by artist Celeste Aldahn. Two video artworks will invite you to see people within a city landscape in very different ways. Throughout the day tunes in Waterside will be discerningly selected by the forward-thinking collective behind local label Untzz 12”.
Plus! The stars of Adelaide Roller Derby will be giving Laneway Festival a taste of Hell on Wheels. The high-speed, skate-or-die spectacle will be on display in the site’s newly renovated Flour Shed from 2pm til 4pm.
Rocket Bar & Rooftop (Tickets on the door)
Jung Le DJ aka Jungle (Jungle DJ set)
The Vanns (live)
